Each year Mary Taylor Memorial United Methodist Church participates in the Greater Bridgeport CROP Hunger Walk, walking a little over 2 miles through lovely residential streets in Bridgeport, raising funds and awareness for Crop Hunger Walk/Church World Service, which works to fight hunger locally nationally and internationally, and emphasizes self-sustaining agricultural practicess. Christian Gregory, who sits on the board of the Crop Walk and is a member of MTMUMC shared the results of this year's event, which raised $32,942.51!!! Please see the list below of 11 local agencies that support vulnerable neighbors in Greater Bridgeport and received proceeds:
