Look What the Wind Blew In!

The pre-work on our Missions Community Garden plot continued last weekend on a blustery Saturday morning in late April. Crew chief for the day Jerry Dellert - pictured below inside a newly constructed cucumber arch, organized the installation of our landscape fabric, pea fence, tomato fence and table top planter with several church volunteers. Fellow church member Leigh Bak donated several strawberry plants to the plot, which were planted along the perimeter. Stay tuned for our next update when we begin planting our early season vegetables later this month - all to feed our neighbors in need this year with healthy plants! If you are inspired by this mission, please give generously to the church to support this program and many others! #umcabundanthealth #mtmumcmissions #feedingourneighbors
