Grace Notes - Feb. 23, 2020
The late Karen Carpenter once sang:
I'm on the top of the world lookin' down on creation And the only explanation I can find Is the love that I've found ever since you've been around Your love's put me at the top of the world
As much as I am a sap for Carpenter love songs, I want to capitalize the “y” in “you’ve” so that it reads “You’ve” (as in God) been around, because it is God’s love that puts me on the top of the world.
Mountaintop experiences often fill us with awe. This Sunday, we will read two stories of mountaintop experiences that have meaning for every generation down through the ages that knows them. What will they mean to you this time you hear them?
