Olivia Gregory, recent graduate of Foran High School in Milford, attended a weeklong service camp in Long Island this summer with a group of 60+ campers. I connected with Olivia recently to learn more about her experience. Olivia had this to say:

"UM Army has made me connect better with God. I’ve been to four week-long camps and it has honestly changed my life. My latest one was in Centerport Long Island, it is so amazing to see how grateful the clients are to see the work we have done.

I worked on a ramp during the week for a 96 year old and it just felt so accomplishing. It’s such a great way to connect with new people and have these relationships with people that will last a lifetime.

Even though this is a great way to connect with God the adults make it so much fun and have so many great activities to keep us busy. I cannot wait to see what the future holds for me at UM Army."

Olivia has attended Mary Taylor Memorial United Methodist Church for many years with her family and also participates in the Crop Walk to raise funds for local food pantries and food sustainability programs worldwide. She plans to attend Eastern Connecticut State University in the fall.
