SCHOLARSHIPS FOR HIGHER EDUCATION
ARE AVAILABLE!
The Kelsey-Worley Educational Fund at Mary
Taylor UMC provides scholarships for student
pursuing post-high school education. The funds are
modest, but are an expression of support for church
members who are furthering their education.
The qualifications for the scholarship are these:
• Applicants must be a member of the United
Methodist Church for at least one year immediately
prior to application and be Christian in character.
• Applications may be made on a yearly basis
by students enrolled in an accredited college or to a
student whose physical need requires special
training or education.
Applicants who re-apply in subsequent years must
demonstrate that they are still full time students,
have maintained a B average (3.0 GPA), and are still
enrolled in an accredited institution.
Applications are available in the Church Office and
must be submitted by June 15, 2008
The members of the Prayer Shawl Ministry have
created 37 beautiful shawls in just 4 months. All but
5, at this writing, have found loving homes. While
most have gone to members of Mary Taylor, some
have traveled a lot further, even to Florida. Shawls
are for someone having a tough time or someone
deserving of congratulations for a job well done. If
you would like to give a shawl, or join the ministry,
please contact the church office at 874-1982 or
mtmumc@sbcglobal.net
Meetings at on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 7
P.M. in Wesley Center.
