38TH ANNUAL
"FAIR ON THE GREEN"
June 5th & 6th, 2009
10 A.M. to 5 P.M.
                  Seeking Hand-Crafters and Fine Artists!

Now in its 38th year, our Fair on the Green is the major fundraiser for Mary Taylor
Memorial UMC.  Church members plan for months for this two-day event, which is
attended by 3,000 to 5,000 people.  Over 100 hand-crafters and fine artists display
their work on our beautiful Milford Green.  A plant and bake sale is provided by
church members.

Our Church also sponsors the ever popular "Trash 'n Treasures" tag sale plus food
booths that include delicious Hummel hot dogs and hamburgers, beverages, vegetarian
burritos, funnel cakes, and our Signature Recipe Strawberry Shortcake.

This year's Fair on the Green will be held on Friday, June 5th and Saturday, June 6th.

IMPORTANT FAIR INFORMATION
FOR CRAFTERS

As we strive to maintain a quality Fair, we
only seek hand-crafted or fine arts items.  If
you did not participate in our 2008 Fair, you
must submit for approval, photos of every
craft type and/or fine art that you will be
selling, as well as a photo(s) of the area
where you make your product showing the
materials you use.  Digital photos via e-mail
are acceptable and may be sent to
mtmumc@sbcglobal.net.  If you do not
have an official craft area, you must submit
photos of the materials you use (i.e. shelves
of yarn, fabric, paints, canvas, beads,
wood, natural materials, etc.)

All entries will be carefully screened for the
following:

1.
Only fine art and/or items handcrafted
by the exhibitor will be allowed.
 No
agents, kits, dealer-purchased items, imports
or raffles will be accepted.
2. All jewelry items must be handmade by
the vendor.  No manufactured jewelry,
retailers or flea market setups will be
accepted.

Spaces on the Milford Green are NOT
limited to 10x10 setups, as we have ample
room to fill your needs.  We do not hold or
reserve spaces.  They are on a first come,
first served basis.  However, we ask that
you be considerate of traffic flow to other
vendors when setting up your display.
Canopies are encouraged.   Please note that
stakes may NOT be driven into the ground.
You will need to support your display with
weights.

continued---
Setup may begin at 12:00 P.M. on
Thursday and continue on Friday morning.
However, if you are participating Saturday
only, you may not set up before 4:00 P.M.
on Friday.  Setup is at your own risk.  We
do not provide security through the night.
If you need electricity for your display
booth, be sure to set up near an outlet.
Check to make sure it is operational before
you set up.  PLEASE NOTE THAT SETUP
IS BEST DONE ON FRIDAY MORNING,
ESPECIALLY SINCE PARKING ON
THURSDAY IS DIFFICULT. There is
plenty of premium space on our green for
every vendor.

As mentioned in our "Perks" section, if you
are alone, please allow our hospitality
committee to relieve you for a break.
Someone from the committee will come to
register you for a break time, and a
hospitality committee member will be happy
to care for your booth while you are away.
We also provide food runners who will be
happy to bring your requested food order to
your booth.

Indoor Restrooms are available in the
Education building (Wesley Center) on
Friday & Saturday.

Parking is extremely limited in downtown
Milford.  Please be sure to read lot signs
carefully.  A map of parking areas will be
included in your registration packet.

Please plan to register by May 15, 2009.
Early registration is preferred.  Click on the
link for the Application for information on
reduced early registration fees.
